The results of these numerical experiments show important ecosystem parameters in the coastal marine ecosystem cycle. These simulations allow us to evaluate the marine ecosystem in the study region. This is especially important for populated and industrialized coastal areas where an imbalance in the ecosystem cycle by river discharge containing high nutrient (nitrogen, phosphorus) loads encourage red and blue tides. Using the ecosystem model, RMA-11, we are currently modelling the effects of water quality on the ecosystems of these areas.
