MGI’s Dr Ava Maxam addressed girls at the Women’s Centre of Jamaica Foundation (WCJF) on strategies for reaching career goals in Information Technologies.

Dr Maxam engaged with adolescent mothers on current technologies and various approaches for building their skills, knowledge and experience in IT careers.

WCJF ensures that ALL school-age girls access the right to education especially where student mothers face cultural and institutional hindrances

The WCJF, a government entity under the Office of the Prime Minister, facilitates the re-integration of school-age mothers and is globally recognized for successes in reducing recidivism rate among its students
