MGI & DE Developing Centralized Knowledge Platform for Climate Action

The Mona GeoInformatics Institute (MGI) with Canadian partner DE Design is currently developing a Central Knowledge Platform for Climate Action for the Climate Change Division (CCD) to be hosted by the Ministry of Economic Growth & Job Creation.

MGI administers stakeholder engagement sessions with relevant partners in the development of a knowledge platform for climate action in Jamaica

MGI held functionality and requirements sessions with the project’s key governmental stakeholders to determine the wants and needs of the system. The project aims to improve the capacity for climate change mitigation and adaptation reporting in Jamaica. The Knowledge Platform is intended to be a ‘hub’ for the sharing of this information and a central point of reference for transparency-related and programming content.
