MGI in Treasure Beach testing UAV prototype alongside UPenn research team

MGI’s Technical Projects Coordinator & Drone Specialist, Mr. Darren Fletcher, was part of a research team from the University of Pennsylvania developing and constructing a climate and wildlife surveillance UAV drone. The drone was built and tested to be used for aerial monitoring of endangered crocodile habitats in Treasure Beach, St Elizabeth.

Darren provided expertise in the use of drones for research in Jamaica, overseeing all technical details of the build and guiding the team to ensure the drone was optimized for specific regions in the country.
