MGI’s Online Natural Hazards Map of Jamaica provides information to the general public on historical floods and landslides. These are 2 of the main natural hazards that impact Jamaica annually and are especially critical in the ongoing Atlantic Hurricane Season. MGI will continue to monitor flooding and landslide events as they happen across Jamaica outside of the official Atlantic Hurricane Season.

This web map is a game changer because not only is it free for public use but also facilitates growth in government and public awareness of natural hazards in the context of Jamaica’s developmental and environmental problems.
