Animations show results plotted for sea-salinity and sea-temperature at the surface. These numerical experiments are calculated using the hydrodynamic model, RMA-11. These results in turn serve as inputs into coupled hydrodynamic and ecological models that will be used to simulate marine ecosystem dynamics. These coupled models will allow us to simulate movement of motile, live organisms such as larvae and zooplankton that are influenced by not only the water quality and dynamics, but also ecological cues, grazing pressure, competition and other forcing factors.
